Wells Township is a civil township of Marquette County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 213. It was founded and platted by the Wolverine Lumber Company and formed around the company's mill and general store. A post office opened on December 24, 1900. Service at the post office was suspended on December 22, 1984 and discontinued on March 21, 1998. Postal service was transferred to Iron Mountain.
