South Bradenton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Manatee County, Florida, United States. The population was 26,858 at the 2020 census, It is part of the North Port–Bradenton–Sarasota, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
South Bradenton is bordered to the north and west by the city of Bradenton, to the south by Bayshore Gardens, and to the east by West Samoset. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which are land, and , or 1.96%, are water.

2020 census
As of the 2020 census, South Bradenton had a population of 26,858. The median age was 44.7 years. 19.6% of residents were under the age of 18 and 24.8% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 92.3 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 90.1 males age 18 and over.
There were 12,051 households in South Bradenton, of which 22.9% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 30.1% were married-couple households, 26.0% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 35.5% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 39.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
