River Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Lucie County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, River Park had a population of 6,514. The population was 5,222 at the 2010 census, at which time it was listed as Port St. Lucie-River Park. It is part of the Port St. Lucie Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km), of which 2.3 square miles (6.1 km) is land and 0.2 square mile (0.5 km) (7.17%) is water.

2020 census

As of the 2020 census, River Park had a population of 6,514. The median age was 50.4 years. 16.3% of residents were under the age of 18 and 26.9% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 95.3 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 92.5 males age 18 and over.

100.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 0.0% lived in rural areas.

There were 2,873 households in River Park, of which 21.2% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 37.5% were married-couple households, 23.0% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 31.5% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 33.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
