Rain () is a municipality in the district of Hochdorf in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland.

Rain has an area of . Of this area, 74.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 16.8% is forested. The rest of the land, (8.3%) is settled.

In Rain about 78.5% of the population (between age 25–64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either university or a Fachhochschule).
