Morocco is a town in Beaver Township, Newton County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.
History

Morocco was laid out in 1851. The town was named after Morocco, for a traveler's Moroccan red boots. A post office has been in operation at the town since 1859.
The Scott-Lucas House and Seller's Standard Station and Pullman Diner are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

As of the 2020 census, Morocco had a population of 1,081. The median age was 44.0 years. 21.0% of residents were under the age of 18 and 21.5% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 101.3 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 101.9 males age 18 and over.
0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas.
There were 443 households in Morocco, of which 26.4% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 43.6% were married-couple households, 21.7% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 25.7% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. of 2010, there were 1,129 people, 463 households, and 299 families living in the town. The racial makeup of the town was 99.1% White, 0.1% African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 0.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.2% of the population.
There were 463 households, of which 30.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.7% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 35.4% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.97.
The median age in the town was 40.5 years. 23.3% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.5% were from 25 to 44; 26.6% were from 45 to 64; and 18.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the town was 50.5% male and 49.5% female.
