Michael W. Moore (born 30 August 1948, Houston, Texas) is the former Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections. Moore was appointed to the position by Governor Jeb Bush on January 5, 1999.
Moore earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and Corrections from Sam Houston State University in 1976. On 5 January 1999 he was appointed Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections by Florida governor Jeb Bush. In 2003, James V. Crosby Jr. took over.
