<!-- * New Martyr Eleazar (Lazarus), of the town of Vasen in Russia, martyred for the faith near Olonets (18th century)
Attention! "New Martyr Eleazar (Lazarus)" gains access to the ΜΕΓΑΣ ΣΥΝΑΞΑΡΙΣΤΗΣ here: http://www.apostoliki-diakonia.gr/gr_main/eortologio/eortologio.asp?file=may/17.htm#15 and then here: http://www.synaxarion.gr/gr/m/5/d/17/sxsaintlist.aspx and http://www.synaxarion.gr/gr/sid/3232/sxsaintinfo.aspx (and from here to the: http://www.saint.gr/1625/saint.aspx) as a result of misunderstanding/ This man was not venerated by any of the local Orthodox Church. He was an Old Believer (!) and "venerated" not by Orthodox but by Russian Orthodox Old-Rite Church only. Here is two links to Old-Rite "Church" Calendar (in Russian) for May 17 (old style)/May 30 (new style): http://rpsc.ru/calendar/2013-05-30/ (2013) and http://rpsc.ru/calendar/2014-05-30/ (2014). One can see and read: "Св. мч. и исп. Елеаза́ра, в Олонце́ за древлецерко́вное благоче́стие сожже́́ннаго (2-я пол. XVII)" (in English: "St. martyr and conf. Eleazar, in Olonets for the Old Believers' godliness burned (2nd half XVII)". In other words this Lazarus was a dissenter and died out of Orthodox Church. -->
