According to a survey conducted by the International Republican Institute in April–May 2023, 77% of the city's population spoke Ukrainian at home, and 20% spoke Russian.

Climate

Kropyvnytskyi is in the central region of Ukraine.

Kropyvnytskyi's climate is moderate continental: cold and snowy winters, and hot summers. The seasonal average temperatures are not too cold in winter, not too hot in summer: in January, and in July. The average precipitation is per year, with the most in June and July.
