Hunter is a city in Cass County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 332 at the 2020 census.
The city was founded in 1881 and incorporated in 1885.
History
Hunter was first called Delano, and under the latter name was platted in 1880 when the railroad was extended to that point. The name Hunter was adopted in 1881 for John Hunter, a local landowner.
