Hope Township, Midland County, Michigan

Hope Township is a civil township of Midland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,373 at the 2020 census. The Hope ZIP code, 48628, serves the township. The first settlers, Orrin Maltby and Joseph Rooker, arrived in 1856. The first township meeting was in 1871, and a post office was established in May of the same year.

Geography

Hope Township is in northern Midland County, bordered to the north by Gladwin County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which are land and , or 1.42%, are water.
