Genesee is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) located in and governed by Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Genesee CDP was 3,610 at the United States Census 2020. of 2000, there were 3,699 people, 1,511 households, and 1,199 families residing in the CDP. The population density was . The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.94% White, 0.22% African American, 0.35% Native American, 1.78% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.76% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races.
