Gandy is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,031 at the 2000 census. It is named after George Gandy and the Gandy Bridge which connects the area to Tampa across Old Tampa Bay.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which is land and (84.65%) is water. It borders Weedon Island Preserve to the south and is the start of the Friendship Trail Bridge (old Gandy Bridge) linking Pinellas County and Hillsborough County.
