Franklin Township is a civil township of Clare County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 730 at the 2020 census. During the lumber boom of the late 1800s, the settlement had a population of as many as 1,800 people. A post office operated from January 14, 1884, until October 14, 1895.
