Frankfort is a city in Spink County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 134 at the 2020 census.
History
Frankfort was platted in 1882. Some say it was named after Frankfurt, in Germany, A post office has been in operation in Frankfort since 1882.

As of the 2020 census, Frankfort had a population of 134. The median age was 52.5 years. 24.6% of residents were under the age of 18 and 29.9% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 109.4 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 114.9 males age 18 and over.
