Esperance ( ( )) is a town in the Goldfields–Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately east-southeast of the state capital, Perth and south of Kalgoorlie.

The urban population of Esperance was 12,003 at June 2018. which entered Esperance Bay in December 1792 to shelter from heavy seas and gale force winds.
