Elk Township is a township in Nobles County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 284 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , all land. The major geographic feature of Elk Township is the Elk Creek which flows eastward into the Des Moines River system. A second and separate Elk Creek exists within Nobles County and flows westward toward the Big Sioux River system.
