Linguistics
- Dyadic conversational interaction is the dynamics between two particular people, in which eye contact is important and the speaker controls the interaction. According to Ghil'ad Zuckermann, Western conversational interaction is typically both "dyadic" and "contained" (in a relatively short, defined time frame). For example, if one asks a question, one expects to receive an answer immediately thereafter.
