Clarksburg is a city in Moniteau County, Missouri, United States. The population was 254 at the 2020 census, Hiram Clark, an early postmaster, gave the town his last name.
Geography
Clarksburg is in western Moniteau County, west-northwest of California, the county seat, and east-northeast of Tipton. It is north of U.S. Route 50 via Highway H.

The racial makeup of the city was 97.9% White, 0.6% Native American, 0.6% from other races, and 0.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.8% of the population.
There were 115 households, of which 48.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.3% were married couples living together, 21.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 11.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 22.6% were non-families. 15.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
