Castle is a town in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, United States. A post office was established February 25, 1903, and the town was named for the first postmaster, Manford B. Castle. The population was 169 at the 2020 Census.

Geography

Castle is situated six miles northwest of the county seat, Okemah. Okemah Lake is to the northeast.

2020 census

As of the 2020 census, Castle had a population of 169. The median age was 41.8 years. 21.9% of residents were under the age of 18 and 16.0% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 96.5 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 94.1 males age 18 and over.

There were 63 households in Castle, of which 44.4% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 46.0% were married-couple households, 20.6% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 31.7% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 27.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
