Banks is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States, which is located in the Tualatin Valley. It is the southern anchor to the Banks–Vernonia State Trail, which is a linear trail popular with bicyclists, hikers, and equestrians. The population was 1,837 at the 2020 census. Incorporated in 1921, it is located in the western part of the county where Oregon Route 6 intersects Oregon Route 47.

As of the 2020 census, Banks had a population of 1,837. The median age was 32.0 years. 30.6% of residents were under the age of 18 and 6.6% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 97.4 males age 18 and over.
There were 593 households in Banks, of which 52.3% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 57.5% were married-couple households, 16.0% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 18.2% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 14.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,777 people, 553 households, and 445 families living in the city. The population density was . There were 580 housing units at an average density of . The racial makeup of the city was 92.5% White, 0.3% African American, 0.6% Native American, 1.2% Asian, 0.3% Pacific Islander, 1.4% from other races, and 3.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.0% of the population.
There were 553 households, of which 57.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 13.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 7.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 19.5% were non-families. 14.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.21 and the average family size was 3.54.
