Ali Kafi (; ALA-LC: ʿAlī Kāfī; 7 October 1928 – 16 April 2013) was an Algerian politician who was Chairman of the High Council of State and acting President from 1992 to 1994.
Early life
Ali Kafi was born in El Harrouch in 1928. He was selected as chairman after the assassination of Muhammad Boudiaf, and ruled until his replacement by Liamine Zeroual.
Death and burial
Kafi died at the age of 84 on 16 April 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. He was buried at El-Alia cemetery,
